Essex Wellbeing Service: Support for Unpaid Carers
The Essex Wellbeing Service is a central point of contact for unpaid carers living in Essex to find information on the support that is available to them. EWS care navigators offer a confidential phone call with the carer, at a time that suits them, to discuss their own health and wellbeing as well as their caring role. Carers will receive advice and information on the support available relevant to their specific needs. Please note this service is not available in Southend-on-Sea or Thurrock.
EWS can offer information and access to a number services, including lots of support and health and wellbeing groups to help with stopping smoking, alcohol reduction and weight management. We can also help with form filling - for blue badges as well as claiming benefits, home adaption equipment and care call personal alarms. We can offer support with social isolation, bereavement and volunteering. We provide specialist carers support services for help with future or contingency care planning, LPA, obtaining financial support, peer support, counselling / mediation and short breaks grants.
